Dear all,

I am Wasswa Lawrence, a Ugandan residing in one of the poorest countries in the world. Our family endured a tragic loss when we lost our firstborn, Groria, leaving behind my brothers Henry Muwonge, the twins Kato Tonny, and myself.

Our father, Kaddu Joseph, passed away when we were just five years old in 2000. Our resilient mother, Nalunkuuma Mary, a teacher at schools like St. Mary's Primary School and Rubaga Primary School, took on the responsibility of raising us. She tirelessly sought support from organizations like Home Care Uganda to ensure we could continue our education.

In 2017, I completed my studies and obtained a diploma in meteorology from Entebbe Meteorological Training School. Tragically, that same year, I lost my mother. She couldn't witness my graduation. May her soul rest in peace.

I searched diligently for employment opportunities in Uganda but was unsuccessful. I even attempted to secure a visa to work in the United States to improve our living standards and support my family, but financial constraints were a barrier. I took on odd jobs such as cleaning, waiting tables, and selling pancakes to make ends meet.

God blessed me with a wonderful partner, Ndagire Josephine, and together, we continue to face life's challenges. We currently live in a single room. Recently, we received heartbreaking news that Josephine went into labor prematurely at 26 weeks, and we tragically lost our baby boy Liam Lawson this year due to the high cost of medical care.

We are still grappling with basic needs like shelter, food, healthcare, and job opportunities here in Uganda. I am reaching out on this platform in the hope of finding support. Any assistance, whether towards starting our own business or securing employment in any country, would be truly appreciated. I have a valid passport ready for opportunities abroad.
