Project: To enhance Permaculture market gardening
Kikumu agriculture research centre is community based organization in Kasese western Uganda. The centre request for Donations for a project of market gardening in perm culture to give food security and income-generating activity to 50 women in difficult situations (widows, abandoned or mothers-daughters). This project will also benefit their children (270). This activity is expected to triple their monthly income and create jobs. The funding requested is mainly for a water-efficient solar powered irrigation system and training for improved demonstration to increase skills for women in perma-culture princes. This activity will also reduce deforestation, as these women mainly live from the manufacture of charcoal from wastes and planting trees.
This project will also enhance kitchen gardens and food security for families in rural areas in Kasese Uganda.
